We know that it isn't easy to be found on the internet without marketing and advertising. Sometimes sheer luck happens but most of the time, it's perserverance and constantly putting yourself out there. Affaire de Coeur knows you need to advertise to sell yourself, your books, and business. That is why we make every attempt to sell and promote our authors and advertisers.
However, you ask, what does Affaire de Coeur Magazine do to bring readers to their website?
We advertise and promote our website and magazine. We know that in order for our magazine to stay in competition with the ever increasing review web pages that are created every day, we have to advertise as well. We have re-started publishing our blurbs on Amazon. We post announcements on Facebook, Myspace, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and various other networking sites that our reviewers and administrators belong to. We pay for advertisements on Facebook and LinkedIn, Google Adwords, and other seach engines. We have advertised in the RWA Newsletter and various media outlets. We have a large following for our newsletter and send announcements out at least twice a month. We have created an AdC Bookstore so our readers can purchase books right here on the website.
And we are not afraid to link our readers to other web pages... We want our readers to find our authors and advertisers.
And what has this type of marketing done for us -- for our authors and advertisers? We have doubled our readership on the website in the past year. By increasing our hits and readership, our authors are receiving the benefits of our increasing progress.
Over a year ago our readers averaged 2 pages per visit. We now have an average readership of 5 pages per visitor.
Our online numbers for the last 3 months: February -- over 130,000 hits January -- 90,000 hits (January 2012 was 45,000) December 2012 -- over 200,000 hits (Dec 2011 was 160,000)
As the economy is gradually beginning to improve our subscribership is increasing. We have almost 100,000 combined print and online magazine subscriptions.
